We're creating a place for women to open doors for other women.

Founded by two women who have experienced the power of opened doors. 

Many industries that shape our world are still male-dominated. We created open fifty as a system to balance representation in these industries. We are reinventing women-to-women mentorship by focusing on connecting women at the right inflection points, building trust rapidly, and getting more women through doors that would otherwise have remained locked. 

If you identify as a woman, open fifty is here to facilitate your breakthrough. When you win, we all win. 

Women can join open fifty as a Now or a Next.

Now - you are currently in an industry that needs more representation. You are willing to offer your time and expertise to women breaking into your industry. You are willing to make connections that will open doors for a “next.”

Next - you are currently looking to break into an industry that needs more representation. You are seeking connections with “nows” that can open doors, and are willing to do the work it takes to get there. 

We avoid traditional language such as “mentor” and “mentee” because we believe there is power in your past experience despite where you are in your career journey. Women can play the roles of “now” and “next” at many different inflection points. We see women at open fifty playing both roles at different points of their journey.

How it works...

Step 1: Request to Join
Request to join open fifty’s Mighty Network. We will have you fill out a short questionnaire so we can direct you to the appropriate tools and resources open fifty has to offer. 

Step 2: Acceptance
If accepted into open fifty you will have access to our growing community that offers resources and networks around various industries.

Step 3: Duo Invitation
If you qualify, you will be invited to join a Duo. A Duo is a pairing of a Now and a Next. We walk each Duo through a process that builds trust and helps the Now open a door for the Next. 

At this time not all open fifty members will be invited to a Duo. We do our best to match people at the right place and the right time. As a growing community, we can not ensure everyone will get a match, but we are building our network every day in hopes of fulfilling that goal soon!

Our goal is in the name. We want every woman to open fifty doors for other women. It’s a goal that could take a whole career, but we believe it is worth it. 

We want to work towards a future with balanced representation in workplaces that look closer to 50/50.
